Day One: Australia!!!

Jill sez:
Here we are in Australia!
We went on a big Walkabout and there were kangaroos and koalas and other animals like that all around us. Bron nursed a baby koala with a tiny bottle and I got into a "boxing match" with a kangaroo. You sure don't see happenings like that every day!
We met several interesting aboriginal people - some of whom had never met anyone from England! We shared dinner with them as the sun set and then we joined in a big jam session with drums and digiridoo (sp?).
Later, we travelled to Sidney and met the winner of the Australian grand prix auto race! We were lucky to meet him because there was a huge crash with a 5-car pileup. Everyone escaped with their lives, and relatively unhurt, and I'm glad we carefully documented everything.

I have realised that Jill is RUBBISH at playing digiridoo! You think she would be good, what with all that experience of blowing into things.... ah well.
I enjoyed looking at the Sydney Opera House, the picture above is from a pub just round the corner. I didn't expect to wear my duffel coat in Australia, but I'm glad I brought it! It was a bit parky out!
Oh, and that kangaroo was a total pussy! I may have lost a couple of teeth, but at least I didn't die!

Off we go!

We are about to set off on our amazing adventures around the world. This will be the blog of our travels.
We set off this morning from the Airport all excited as you can see...
Off to pastures new and buzzing with excitement...
Jill was made to take all the liquid out of her bag, and I was made to spit for 10 minutes as they deemed that I had far too much liquid about my person... I told them that was normal for this time of the month... but whatever
Anyway... more when we make our first stop!
